Breed Education

Preserve and protect: If you love this breed please consider: The average coefficient of inbreeding in French Bulldogs is 19%. Above 10% is the “threshold of the extinction vortex.” Eliminating dogs for color when there have been no proven associated risks is detrimental to the gene pool. More on that here:

What should you know about Cystinuria 3?
Cystinuria 3, or C3, is a genetic marker that indicates a predisposition to painful bladder and kidney stones in the French Bulldog. Our research and that of countless others indicates the condition appears to have a particularly painful impact in male dogs. It does not seem to impact females in the same way. This marker is NOT currently part of the standard health panel recommended for this breed, but there is a push by a growing number of health conscious breeders to see it included. We strongly encourage you to bring up this condition with any other breeders you may be contacting regarding a puppy. You will likely find that several haven’t heard of it, and your asking might encourage someone to start testing for it. Buyers as a whole have the ability to drive change, and the more people who ask, the more likely it is that future suffering can be prevented.
Do we have Micro Frenchies?
The term “micro” is purely marketing. The French Bulldog Breed Standard has an upper limit of 28lbs but has no lower limit, and many do range from 15-25 lbs. Our females average in the low to mid 20s, and we aim to create well balanced dogs within the appropriate weight range.

All of our puppies come up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and pre loved. Our puppy pen is in the middle of our living room and kitchen area, meaning they get a lot of human interaction. We let them out to play multiple times a day and have conquered potty training now that they have had enough shots to go outside. They are socialized to children and other animals. Additionally, all of our puppies are seen by a vet at 6 weeks for a thorough exam, and then by a different vet before going home to ensure we don’t miss any concerns. We deworm on a regular schedule and preventatively treat to protect from coccidia. We do everything we can to ensure we send home healthy puppies, and we back our dogs with a one year health guarantee.
